Jewellery has long been regarded as a form of personal adornment. Since time immemorial, human beings have used whatever materials have been available to them to create jewellery. The first pieces of Jewellery were made from natural elements, such as bones, animal teeth, shells, wood, stones etc. More exotic the jewellery, higher was one's social status. In fact, in some cultures, people were even buried with their jewellery.
Jewellery is worn for several reasons, here are a few:
